Is It Better to Paint Bicycle Frame Assembled or Disassembled?

First, it is better to go over with an abrasive material with a grit of P240, then P320, and then P400 and P800. You can use abrasive paper, but it is better to use paper on a roll of foam.
This multi-step approach is necessary to make the surface prepared for spray painting a bike as smooth as possible. If the frame is metal and it already has traces of corrosion, they need to be carefully treated with abrasive paper. It’s worth masking off places on the frame that don’t need to be painted: the brake posts, any support surfaces, and places on the bike where you’ll need to screw something on when you assemble it.
Step 3: Priming
For parts of the bike that you are going to primer, it is best to suspend on a special mount, then it is much easier to ensure even coverage of the primer. It is best to apply it in three layers. Allow the primer to dry after each application. Like spray paint for a bike, this material is sold in a spray can.
After all coats are applied, leave the parts for 24 hours. The primer and paint must be done in a well-ventilated room with minimal humidity. When the primed parts are completely dry, sand them with light grit sandpaper.

Tinting is usually done by experienced people, by selecting the colors to be mixed and their proportions in small quantities. A container the size of a tablespoon is sufficient for this, the proportions are measured by counting the drops of the colors being mixed.
